I Declare a Love War!” This became my battle cry a number of years ago, when I was going through a very difficult trial in my ministry. As a ministry, as we sought God, we focused on what that Love War looked like and carried it out. Through the course of the years, we have savored its extravagant fruit.
But, what exactly is a Love War and how do we engage?
This course unpacks much of the revelation that I have received –and lived out – on this subject throughout the years. Sadly, what much of society calls “love” today is just the opposite, bring-ing about confusion, anti-social behaviors, great sin and its consequences. It is our place, as the church, to demonstrate what true love is – to be the world’s love plumb-line.
Without love, as the Apostle Paul teaches in 1 Corinthians 13, we are nothing, we have nothing, and we are profited nothing. Love is the principal thing, and while we live on earth, we are in a war – the love war. Let’s prepare to become those true warriors of love!
