Grow in Divine Favor

“Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you!” These were angel Gabriel’s opening words when he visited Mary. He then proceeded to tell her that she would have the great blessing of bringing the Savior into the world. She was given one of the most important assignments known to history – but it all began with God’s supernatural favor. Years later, the sum of Jesus’ childhood and youth is wrapped up in one verse: "He grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man." This is what we all desire – and need - to live a fulfilling, accomplished life of wisdom and favor with God and man.

As we see here, wisdom and favor go hand in hand. We seek it from above, but we also take practical steps to gain it from man. I believe Proverbs 3:4-5 sums it up well, “Hold on to loyal love and don’t let go, and be faithful to all that you’ve been taught. Let your life be shaped by integrity, with truth written upon your heart. That’s how you will find favor and understanding with both God and men— you will gain the reputation of living life well “ (TPT).

This course is full of wisdom on how to grow in that Divine Favor. Whether we are hoping to get that deserved promotion and raise at our workplace, a good seat on our 18-hour flight to the mission field, or open doors to speak with highly influential people in government and business and obtain what we are seeking, we need the “unfair advantage” of favor.
